- @MBMc the steps provided were to disable Elan drivers, well, since it didn't work on this laptop, here are a few other things you can try: Press Windows Key + X to open Win + X menu and select Control Panel from the list. When Control Panel opens, go to Hardware and Soundsection and select Mouse.

You can’t really. That’s not strictly true, as you could get a Synaptics driver to.load. on an Elan touchpad just be selecting it manually in device manager. It might or might not work at all, depending on exactly what bus the device is operating.
